American Agriculture High Pressure Sodium Ballasts
Manufactured by American Agriculture and are ETL (Edison Testing Laboratories) listed to assure top performance, and dedicated to using only top quality components.
High Pressure Sodium ballast are for horizontal or vertical lighting systems.
The heat-sink case or housing that holds the components is made from extruded aluminum. In the extrusion process fins are made. These fins help to transfer
the heat from the transformer to the air without the need for air vents. You will find
similar fins in high quality stereo equipment for the same purpose.
You should also note that these ballasts have not been painted. The painting of the heat sink case or housing inhibits the heat transfer process
dramatically. Other manufactures that paint their air vent free ballasts for cosmetic reasons run the risks of baking the components. Electrical components
work better when they run cool. We will never paint our ballasts.
Comes with a 6 foot heavy-duty power cord and a 15 foot heavy-duty lamp cord. The lamp cord comes complete with a mogul socket and assembly to
attach to all Control Wizard Products and reflectors. (note some ballasts are available in 120volt and 240 volt, if ballast come in both volts you will
need to specify which one you want when you add it to your cart.)
The socket is rated at 5kv and is universal. A socket that is universal means that any HID lamp will screw in, even horizontal only position oriented lamps with base pins.
Lamps labeled HOR (horizontal) and BU (base up) are position oriented lamps. Position oriented lights are designed to give you the highest light output, but burn only in their designated
positions. Lamps labeled U (universal) may be burned in any position. Universal lamps, however, will not be as bright as a position oriented lamp of
the same wattage.
All mounting hardware is included. Only the highest quality parts are used and double checked before shipping to insure low noise and dependability.

- 5. Aluminum ballast enclosure is engineered to dissipate heat and keep components cool.
- 6. Heavy duty handle for easy carrying or wall mounting.
- 7. Louvered end plates and heat slots help cool the ballast for years of trouble-free use.
